Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him (Philippians 2:12-13, NLT).
There are so many different revelations that we can study from these two verses alone, but for today, I feel to encourage you with verse 13 “for God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” See, it all begins with desires. What do you desire? Do you desire for what pleases Him or for what pleases the world? Child of God, I want to encourage you to allow God to work in you to give you the desires that you should have, so that you would do what pleases Him. May you become so in tuned with God, so one with Him that His desires are automatically your desires, where there are no distinctions between the two! But it doesn’t stop there; It’s one thing to desire for what God desires, but it’s another thing to carry out those desires! Therefore, pray using this verse and ask that God would also give you the power to live out those desires and that His name would be glorified through your life!
