Consistency

I’ve heard this word so many times, especially from my spiritual father. He would often say “consistency is key!” Consistency in prayer; consistency in reading the Word of God; consistency in obeying the Lord; consistency in writing your blog? ummmm, well that escalated quickly! I didn’t see that one coming cause if you ask me, I’ve been consistently writing my blog! ok fine I’m lying. it’s been a while! I know that I need to be more consistent even though no one reads this blog because consistency is key. Maybe I was led to start this blog simply so that I can improve in my writing skills, and that’s a good thing! God never promised me a huge audience on this blog. So today, I am making a promise to myself that I will become more consistent in posting my blogs whether people read it or not! So if you do come across this blog one day, you might notice that I write long thoughtful blog posts on some days and on other days I might just come on here to say hi to the internet. Regardless, my intentions are to keep this promise which I made before my God to myself and JUST KEEP WRITING.

One thing I’ve learned about being consistent is the more you remain consistent in whatever you set your mind to the more confidence you begin to have in yourself! Imagine making plans with your friend to go out to dinner and each time you set a date and time, they never show up! eventually you start losing trust and confidence in that friend. The same goes for yourself. If you never show up for the little things that you said you would, then you will very quickly start losing confidence in yourself to do the big things that would bring you great success! Therefore, learn this from me today: Be consistent in whatever God has asked you to do, no matter how small it may look right now.
