Seek God

If someone is looking for their precious gold ring, they won’t simply sit around in hopes that it comes to them. They will begin to search throughout their house, retrace their steps and even call on someone for help. In the same way, seeking God requires action! Has anyone ever ran to you and Said “Ah! I’ve been searching all over for you?” what will possibly go on in your mind in that moment is “How come?” and usually the reason is because they are in need of you or maybe they just wanted to be with you! Both reasons are valid. So why do we seek God? One of the reasons why I believe we seek God is usually because we acknowledge the fact that we need him in our lives; that we cannot do anything without him. This shows humility! Another reason is simply because we are so in love with him that we want to be with him always. Whatever the reason may be, when you seek Him, you will find Him! This my friend is the Key to living a fulfilled life! Why? Because if you can keep seeking him, he promises in his word that you will find him; If you can find him, then you will always have Him with you through every phase in your life; And if you can always have Him, then it means that you will have everything you need on this earth and even for eternity.

Pursue God

Once you’ve sought after God, it doesn’t stop there; you must pursue him! In the world, why do some study for years and years? Why do they work for countless hours at their jobs? They are pursuing something they deem valuable. Many people value the money they make, some people value having a tittle to their name and others value a luxurious lifestyle. Therefore, they will do whatever it takes to pursue that which they value! They will run after their dreams even if it’s the last thing they do! In the same way, how much are we willing to do so that we can get to the end goal which is: to be like Jesus Christ. Are we willing to keep pursuing him, even when things get hard? Even when we are persecuted for believing in him? Do we value Jesus enough to keep on running after him even when we can’t see him or feel his presence? The dreams that people pursue in the world are not always at their reach, yet they keep pushing towards it. May we also not grow weary in our pursuit. Those who persevere until the end will be rewarded. My encouragement to you is to keep your eyes on Jesus. Stay focus and make sure that you do whatever it takes to pursue after him!

See you on the next post!
